Electrical Estimator

About the role

Allegiance Industries is expanding and seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Electrical Estimator to join their Electrical Division based in Bladenboro, NC, with the possibility of remote work in LaGrange, NC or Greenville, SC. The position supports multiple divisions across the Carolinas.

Responsibilities

• Develops accurate cost estimates from take-off to bid hand-off.
• Analyzes material and labor requirements to complete a project, including onsite evaluations of jobsites to ensure accuracy.
• Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings.
• Computes and submits bids, performing bid reviews with Corporate Team members.
• Contacts vendors for competitive firm pricing.
• Analyzes the costs impacts of various equipment solutions.
• Maintains change order submissions/documents in an organized and standardized manner.
• Creates submittals based on specifications for each project, working with team members to disseminate collective information.
• Works with DOEO, Division Managers, and Project Managers on qualifying bids.
• Keeps active bid tab and assists in business development based on current trends.
• Aids Project Management Team in Project Closeout and Customer Satisfaction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of estimating experience.
• Electrical license or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Able to work with and adapt to multiple Estimating Software programs.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems.
• Ability to read and evaluate specifications and blueprints.
• Effective customer interaction and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage risks and estimate large and small projects.
• Strong math and communication skills.
• Competent computer skills, including proficiency with all types of operating systems.
