Electrical Engineering Project Manager
Wilson & Company’s New Mexico (Albuquerque) and Kansas City offices are seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Project Manager to support the electrical practice area team within the Private Infrastructure organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a wide variety of clients, including federal organizations (e.g., DOD, DOE).
About the role
This position focuses on the daily operations of engineering projects and interoffice collaboration with staff and team members. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys teamwork, performs both office and field work, and collaborates with other disciplines to develop solutions.
Responsibilities
- Supports company’s strategic objectives, processes, and tools.
- Actively manages projects and provides technical support to staff.
- Contributes to the sales goals of the team.
- Ensures compliance with Wilson & Company’s policies and standards, including:
- Goal setting and review policies.
- Quality control and quality assurance standards.
- Project planning and implementation.
- Collaborates with other offices and practice areas within the company.
- Implements and monitors compliance with firm-wide safety policies.
- Maintains transparency and communication with stakeholders.
- Is accountable for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
- Utilization
- Payroll Multiplier
- Net multiplier at the task level
- Variance at the practice/task level
- Cash Management (AR & WIP) for Project Managers
- Identifies and engages in professional organizations and key industry events to support practice area growth.
The position conforms to Wilson & Company’s flexible work policy and is not hybrid or remote. The candidate must actively participate in company culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related curriculum.
- Licensed Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain licensure in New Mexico.
- Ten or more years of experience in electrical project design.
- Experience with federal government projects and the ability to gain necessary clearances.
- Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate with engineers and technicians.
Skills
Working knowledge and familiarity with the following:
- Electrical design codes:
- NFPA 70
- NESC
- IEEE books
- Applicable National Fire Protection Association standards
- Software:
- Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint)
- MS Project or equivalent
- Power modeling software (e.g., SKM PowerTools, ETAP)

Pay
Annual salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience).
