Electrical Engineering Manager - Healthcare and Commercial

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Manager leads a team of electrical engineers and designers to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects in healthcare and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor electrical staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Oversee project execution, including developing work plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Design electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, ground fault, lightning protection, and generator systems.
• Perform power system analyses using industry-standard tools and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Support construction, commissioning, and field activities, reviewing contractor submittals and providing field support.
• Participate in business development, including proposal writing, client meetings, and marketing efforts.
• Develop and maintain electrical standards, specifications, and processes.
• Provide technical support across departments and oversee resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with PE registration.
• 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes (NEC, NFPA, NESC, etc.) and construction practices.

Skills

• Proven leadership, client relationship management, and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software.
• Ability to build team talent, adapt to changes, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in field environments.
• Preferred experience in healthcare infrastructure design is a plus.
