About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic RF power engineering intern who can rapidly develop compact RF systems from gathering requirements to the production stage. The internship begins in January, with the option for preferably a 4 to 8-month commitment. You will get to own entire RF power systems while working closely with other engineers to enable small and fast semiconductor plasma systems. You will be exposed to many diverse problems and will need to move through design cycles quickly. Our philosophy is to get things built and tested in days or weeks, not months. Because of this, a portfolio is required to apply: show us the things you’ve actually built!
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of complete RF power systems from architecture to schematic to layout
- Accurately RF power diagnostics and metrology
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to gather system requirements
- Help define of firmware requirements
- Source components and lead manufacturing effort
Required Experience
- Experience building of RF systems
- RF resonant power amplifier design in the 100s of Watts range
- RF power measurement sensor design
- Hands on prototyping and testing
- Cable harness design, documentation, and fabrication
Nice-to-have
- Advanced degree in power electronics or related field
- Plasma systems experience
- Systems engineering and integration

Hardware Interns are paid an hourly rate equivalent to an annualized range of $108,000-126,000, depending on experience and education level. Actual earnings will vary depending on internship length and hours worked.
