Looking for a great opportunity to gain experience with a global sustainable energy company? Our Danfoss Power Solutions site in Plymouth is seeking a part-time (~20 hours per week) Electrical Engineering Intern for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an onsite position that pays $20-$25 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced engineering skills regarding electrical design, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Conduct product functional testing and product analysis as needed.
- Perform qualification testing of the finished product—including EMC, ESD, electrical transient, and HALT testing.
- Create engineering documentation.
- Perform schematic design using engineering principles and advanced math concepts when opportunities arise.
- Create PCB layouts with a complete understanding of the impact of traces, vias, planes, layers, and component placement.
No business travel is anticipated.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering Program, with Junior status or higher.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Motivated self-starter who is willing to tackle all aspects of electrical engineering.
