Electrical Engineer - PE (MEP Industry)

OVERVIEW

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group as an Electrical Engineer in our Jacksonville, FL office. In this role you will provide technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting and fire alarm, for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, municipal and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact and work directly with clients
• Conduct preliminary evaluations
• Prepare various reports
• Produce design drawings
• Prepare technical specifications
• Prepare permit submittals for electrical engineering projects
• Manage various tasks on several concurrent projects
• Follow tasks through to completion within allocated period of time and monetary budget assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in Electrical Engineering or a related occupation
• Project experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies utilizing SKM software
• Experience with drafting and analysis software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM
• Must possess FL PE registration or ability to quickly obtain through reciprocity
• Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
