Electrical Engineer- Nuclear Projects 1
About the role
As a Kinectrics Engineer, you will work with a team of engineers across disciplines on client projects involving modifications to existing power generation facilities and plant electrical systems for today's leading energy providers.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the design, preparation and integration of major electrical power equipment.
- Prepares engineering calculations and electrical control circuit designs.
- Performs tests, researches problems through various sources of technical information.
- Designs or modifies components and determines the intent of a specification / instruction.
- Makes recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors.
- Provides support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects.
- Occasional travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
- 3 to 7 years of related practical work experience.
- Prior nuclear experience highly desirable.
- Self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD Software.
