Electrical Engineer- Medium Voltage

Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Medium VoltageJob Description As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage, you will design, develop, and deliver new and enhanced medium voltage technology for future products. You will play a crucial role in concept creation, electrical design, and system integration to ensure our products meet market and customer requirements. Responsibilities Create concepts using market and customer requirements data, and participate in voice of customer (VoC) exercises.Lead the generation of medium voltage electrical designs up to primary distribution levels.Develop electrical drawings, models, and schematics using suitable CAD packages.Create engineering technical specifications and bills of materials (BOMs).Define, lead, and support product Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), validation, and testing programs.Ensure products are designed for manufacture and assembly (DFM & DFA).Create test reports, technical documents, and instruction manuals to support future customer product use.Ensure product safety and compliance with agreed codes and standards (e.g., CE, UL, CSA, ANSI, IEEE).Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for improvement in future products. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Over 10 years of experience in medium voltage component/power management/substation/switchgear product development.Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design for medium voltage applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical.Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer certification. Work Environment You will work in a newly renovated office, located in close proximity to the manufacturing facility. Join a project team to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs aligned to customer requirements. Regularly provide updates on project status and timelines. Relocation assistance is offered. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley View, OH. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
