About the role
Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join our Innovative Solutions Group. This position requires being a US citizen and meeting all Federal Contractor employee requirements. Nomad GCS does not support the H1B visa for this position.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD documentation.
- Support manufacturing by answering technical questions, resolving build issues, and improving design clarity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, IT Integration, Human Factor Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, Quality, and Project Management teams.
- Apply continuous improvement principles to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.

Requirements
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must meet all Federal Contractor employee requirements.
- Must not require sponsorship for H1B visa.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with basic ECAD tools (schematics, wire harnesses, revisions).
- Familiarity with standard Nomad equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies).
- Experience with applicable electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL, IEC).
- Ability to work in office, shop, and vehicle environments.
- Ability to work safely around energized systems when required.
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of electrical theory, documentation, and standards.
- Strong working knowledge of AC/DC systems, codes, and manufacturing support.
- System-level expertise and troubleshooting mastery.
- Platform-level architecture and technical leadership.
- Enterprise-level strategy, innovation, and mentorship.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory and standards.
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or similar software.
- Ability to work in various environments (office, production floor, vehicle).
- Physical ability to stand and sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform hands-on testing activities.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
