Electrical Engineer III

About the role

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join our Innovative Solutions Group. This position requires being a US citizen and meeting all Federal Contractor employee requirements. Nomad GCS does not support the H1B visa for this position.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD documentation.
• Support manufacturing by answering technical questions, resolving build issues, and improving design clarity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, IT Integration, Human Factor Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, Quality, and Project Management teams.
• Apply continuous improvement principles to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Uphold and model Nomad Core Values in all work.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must meet all Federal Contractor employee requirements.
• Must not require sponsorship for H1B visa.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with basic ECAD tools (schematics, wire harnesses, revisions).
• Familiarity with standard Nomad equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies).
• Experience with applicable electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL, IEC).
• Ability to work in office, shop, and vehicle environments.
• Ability to work safely around energized systems when required.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of electrical theory, documentation, and standards.
• Strong working knowledge of AC/DC systems, codes, and manufacturing support.
• System-level expertise and troubleshooting mastery.
• Platform-level architecture and technical leadership.
• Enterprise-level strategy, innovation, and mentorship.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical theory and standards.
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or similar software.
• Ability to work in various environments (office, production floor, vehicle).
• Physical ability to stand and sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform hands-on testing activities.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
