About the Role
Join the Vision Systems and Electronic Warfare Department in Goleta, California as an Electrical Engineer II – RF/Microwave Design. This role focuses on Electronic Warfare (EW) and general electronics product development for defense applications within the advanced RF hardware section, a hub for cutting-edge hardware. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, program managers, and supply chain professionals to design and test complex electronics.
Responsibilities
- Design and test electronics of various complexity in a team environment.
- Schedule tasks, provide status updates, and collaborate with cross-discipline teams including electrical, mechanical, and system engineers.
- Work as an individual contributor or within a product development team.
- Occasional business-related travel may be required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM major obtained by start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design tools such as SPICE, schematic/layout software, MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, Hyperlynx, or GeneSys, with a willingness to learn new tools.
- Experience with schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics.
- Hands-on experience testing electronic products using bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, or vector network analyzers.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
