Electrical Engineer II
Responsibilities
- Design and development of next generation DC/DC and DC/AC power converters for residential PV and battery energy storage applications
- Plan and implement design validation for prototypes and first articles
- Document test results and communicate to stakeholders within the design team and cross-functionally
- Perform and support analyses to verify design requirements, including circuit simulation, DFMEA, and reliability assessments for design margin and component deratings
- Participate in, and at times, lead design reviews of new designs and revisions, including for DFM and DFT
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 2 years of work experience
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Experience with power electronics/power converters
- Experience with schematic capture and/or PCB design
- Familiarity with test equipment typically used for power converter development such as high-performance oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, etc.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools
- Familiarity with third party certification and testing (e.g. NRTL, environmental)
