Electrical Engineer I

About the role

Location: Portsmouth, RI (1847 W Main Rd, NIMITZ WEST BLDG). Onsite position. U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance required after day 1).

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design in Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, or Power Design
• Support factory and suppliers with product integration
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines/functions to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced team environment
• Validate design functionality through rapid prototyping and/or simulation
• Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies for sound technical decisions
• Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers required; international and longer-duration travel available but optional

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline (degree must be obtained by start date)
• Technical design experience in Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, or Power Design (may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects)

Qualifications

• Experience in specification, design, development, production, and testing of undersea systems and electronics packaging
• Knowledge of design for long-term submergence, sealing, and corrosion resistance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience on DoD programs

Pay

Salary range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD (good-faith estimate for all experience levels; actual offer based on role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and skills).
