About the role

As part of the Quiddity team, your work will make a difference. Our EITs have the opportunity to assist with the design and management of a variety of engineering projects that have an electrical component. You will learn leadership skills from experienced engineers who provide both mentorship and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of clearly defined assignments applying standard engineering concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Apply techniques to specific electrical engineering projects, including design calculations, researching design options, writing and reviewing technical reports, cost estimates, schedules, CAD drafting, and arranging permitting requirements.
  • Review work for discrepancies or inconsistencies; adjust and correlate data; follow operations through detailed steps or processes to completion under the guidance of an experienced engineer.
  • Support mid and senior-level engineers to provide construction drawings including electrical site plans, one-line diagrams, conduit schedules, and other related electrical equipment installation details.
  • Undertake basic research on engineering conditions, laws, and permitting organizations (City, State, and County officials) to develop knowledge of the permitting process and the application of codes to engineering assignments.
  • Assist with the preparation of documentation including plans, maps, drawings, reports, data spreadsheets, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field.
  • FE required to advance Engineer-In-Training designation—must be completed within 12 months of hire date.
  • Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record.
