Electrical Engineer Expert (8-12 yrs)

About the role

The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems for small robots and other ground‑based vehicles according to customer requirements. The role applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs, conducts research to produce design solutions, improvements, and new products, and demonstrates expertise to junior engineers. The position reports to a manager, works with a Tech Lead, and may assume a team‑lead role. Work is highly independent and involves complex technical and business matters.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Design, test, and determine fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment; establish methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
• Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
• Ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
• Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Maintain regular study habits by reviewing emerging technologies that improve design, development, and testing of software programming and applications, and apply learned technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency with EDA tools.
• Analog and digital circuit design expertise.
• Lead DFMEA process.
• Functional safety analysis proficiency.
• Strong communication skills.
• Effective team member with some leadership abilities.
