The Anderson facility focuses on embedded electronics, battery platforms, and motor control systems that power next-generation cordless products for industries including construction, DIY, landscaping, and professional trades.

About the role

The Electrical Engineer II will lead the design and implementation of embedded power electronics for battery-powered products, ensuring innovation, reliability, and performance in a fast-paced product development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and take ownership of embedded hardware systems, including architecture, schematic capture, and component selection for battery-powered products
  • Develop and debug MOSFET switching power stages and supporting circuits such as gate drives, protection systems, and current or voltage sensing for low-voltage, high-current applications
  • Support motor control hardware implementations, including inverter and bridge power stages, while collaborating closely with firmware engineers to ensure seamless hardware and firmware integration
  • Prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, EMC tools, and other lab equipment
  • Lead design activities from component selection through schematic capture, PCB layout, prototype builds, and test plan execution, while ensuring adherence to project schedules and development processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded electronics design with strong ownership of hardware and exposure to 32-bit microcontroller-based circuits
  • Demonstrated hands-on design experience in power conversion and motor drives, particularly in embedded hardware implementations
  • Practical knowledge of MOSFET switching in low-voltage battery systems, including gate drive design, switching behavior, and protection requirements
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, with the ability to support occasional PCB layout needs

Pay

$100,000 - $125,000 per year plus bonus

This role is open to candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
