Electrical Engineer (Design & Testing)

About the role

Electrical Engineer (Design & Testing) – onsite position in Houston, Texas. Contract & Full‑Time role requiring 5‑10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design of PCBs with focus on power and analog electronics.
• Component selection and sizing, design analysis, and worst‑case analysis.
• Design verification, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Work with industrial‑standard schematic and PCB tools.
• Read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Support prototype building and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop power electronics hardware, understand power supply topologies and power conversion concepts.
• Perform circuit simulation (preferred) using LTspice/PSpice.
• Design analog and filter circuits.
• Use lab and advanced measurement equipment.
• Handle high voltage (~600V) safely.
• Apply magnetics design principles.
• Design high‑temperature electronics for oil & gas applications (preferred).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PCB design, power and analog electronics.
• Experience with component selection, sizing, design analysis, and worst‑case analysis.
• Strong background in design verification, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with industrial‑standard schematic and PCB tools.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience supporting prototype building and cross‑functional coordination.
• Knowledge of power electronics hardware design, power supply topologies, and power conversion.
• Preferred: circuit simulation experience (LTspice/PSpice).
• Preferred: analog and filter design experience.
• Hands‑on experience with lab and advanced measurement equipment.
• Exposure to high voltage handling (~600V).
• Familiarity with magnetics design principles.
• Preferred: high‑temperature electronics design for oil & gas industry.
