Electrical Engineer, Data Centers - Remote (U.S.)

About the role

At AECOM, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in the design and delivery of colocation and hyperscale data center facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems in large-scale data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working with high-density data centers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including medium and low-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and emergency systems.
• Responsible for electrical calculations and development of drawings in accordance to client specifications and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including National Electric Code (NEC).
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications, design criteria, and project budgets.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years of MEP design experience.
• Experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
• Experience working in Revit and ACC.
• Experience working in power system analysis such as SKM, or ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Building codes including IBC and IECC.
• Professional Engineer License (P.E.).

• The range for this position is $130000 to $170000 per year.
