Electrical Engineer - Controls

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and controls design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary project team in a lead role.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in Electrical or Controls Engineering, with Oil and Gas experience preferred.
• P.E. preferred.
• Proficient with P&IDs, IO lists, circuit schedules, communications, PLC panels, and loop diagrams, and well versed in NFPA 70.
• Exposure to PLC programming is a plus.
• Experience specifying, ISA data sheets, procuring instrumentation and control devices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to train Junior staff, communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Target salary range: $90,000.00 to $155,000.00

• Requires composure and ability to prioritize and handle several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy.
• Occasionally climbing stairs and ladders to read meters at active oil & gas sites.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors

• Environmental factors mostly consist of work being conducted in an indoor office environment, but is not limited to extreme temperatures (e.g., cold, heat), fumes, variable weather conditions, outdoor work, and noise due to some travel & work on worksites.
