Electrical Engineer - Construction Administration

BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services. BR+A is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Construction Administration department with hands-on field experience in design, operation, and construction of electrical and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple tasks and be highly organized
• Demonstrate excellent writing skills
• Show proficiency in computer skills
• Have a professional and team-oriented demeanor
• Visit project sites, attend meetings in person and virtually
• Author site and punch list reports
• Review submittals/RFIs/shop drawings
• Collaborate with trade contractors
• Work directly with Architects/Owners/Construction Manager Representatives in a hands-on training role for the functional understanding of systems
• Design and operate fire alarm systems
• Experience with NYC fire alarm systems is a benefit

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 10-15 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Functional working knowledge and experience with electrical systems and the interaction with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, building automation systems, as well as systems design & construction processes

Pay

Salary Range for 10-15 years of experience: $110,000 - $160,000
