Electrical Engineer - Construction Administration

Founded in 1975, BR+A Consulting Engineers maintains a total staff of over 500 employees located at our main office in Boston and branch offices in New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Vienna, VA (Washington, DC); Coral Gables, FL (Miami); Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL; Charlotte, NC; Charleston, SC; Houston, TX; New Haven, CT; Los Angeles, CA; and Toronto. BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services. BR+A is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Construction Administration department with hands-on field experience in design, operation, and construction of electrical and fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities
- Handle multiple tasks and be highly organized
- Demonstrate excellent writing skills
- Show proficiency in computer skills
- Have a professional and team-oriented demeanor
- Visit project sites, attend meetings in person and virtually
- Author site and punch list reports
- Review submittals/RFIs/shop drawings
- Collaborate with trade contractors
- Work directly with Architects/Owners/Construction Manager Representatives in a hands-on training role for the functional understanding of systems
- Design and operate fire alarm systems
- Experience with NYC fire alarm systems is a benefit
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
Qualifications
- Functional working knowledge and experience with electrical systems and the interaction with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, building automation systems, as well as systems design & construction processes

Pay
Salary Range for 10-15 years of experience: $110,000 - $160,000
