Responsibilities
- Design new and low voltage electrical enclosures (>240 volts AC).
- Harness Design, schematic creation and 3D modeling of wiring and cabling inside equipment.
- Experience with CREO Cabling module is preferred.
- Capable and proficient at understanding and applying various standards of NEC (NFPA70), CSA/UL, and IEEE to do a proper selection of electrical components that meet agencies requirements.
- Collaboration and guideline across the disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, as well as production and offering teams.
- Work with these teams for design reviews, meeting cost metrics, and brainstorming around customer pain points.
- Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to verify design requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related degree from an accredited college or university.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware development roles.
- More than 8 years of expertise with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or product documentation management systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting functional requirements and preparing design documentation.
- Skilled in using Creo Schematics or equivalent schematic capture software.
- Hands-on experience operating DMMs, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Capable of executing project schedules throughout hardware board development lifecycles.
- Adept at debugging, validation, and supporting manufacturing test processes.
- Proven ability in designing for testability and manufacturability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
- Reliable team members exhibit a consistently positive attitude and creativity.
- Able to work in multicultural environments.
