About the role
Serves as a non-supervisory Senior Design Electrical Engineer in the Engineering Division, Design Branch. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. USACE New York District will be relocating from 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY to 3 2nd Street, Jersey City, NJ in March 2027.
Responsibilities
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Subject to a 1‑year probationary period during which the agency evaluates fitness and continued employment advancing the public interest.
- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from the Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
Pay
Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
