Electrical Engineer

About the role

Scanfil Atlanta is seeking an Electrical Engineer to complete engineering projects such as New Product Introductions (NPIs), Engineering Changes, and RFQ responses. This role involves consulting production and repair teams on best practices, developing manufacturing and assembly methods, and designing or modifying equipment for electrical component assembly while complying with customer requirements and incorporating operator input.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications through research and application of electrical and materials knowledge.
• Validate personnel, systems, production equipment, and test capabilities to ensure successful onboarding of new customer products/builds.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions.
• Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Assist in the quality assurance process by designing, developing, and providing training on electrical testing methods; test finished products and system capabilities.
• Participate and lead NPI, RFQ, Engineering Changes, Project Management, Troubleshooting, and Kaizen activities.
• Create and maintain BOM structures within the ERP system.
• Maintain product and company reputation by ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Participate and lead LEAN projects on a regular basis.
• Work with vendors to create and deliver solutions for customers.
• Develop and complete project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; confer with management.
• Work closely with the repair team in troubleshooting PCBA’s and other electronics.
• Assist production/operations as needed.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
