Electrical Engineer
About the role
The company seeks an Electrical Engineer to support growth across its operations, serving industries such as aerospace, defense, energy, mining, and complex industrial applications. The role involves designing electrical systems, collaborating with teams, and contributing to mission-critical products.
Key Responsibilities
Design machine electrical systems, including panel layouts, schematics, and control systems.
Define scope and specifications for new and retrofit equipment.
Select components such as panels, MCCs, drives, sensors, and instrumentation.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and solutions.
Develop and maintain plant electrical distribution layouts and schematics.
Support arc flash studies and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Specify and improve facility-level electrical systems.
Support capital projects from concept through implementation.
Develop procurement specifications and support vendor selection.
Carefully coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute projects efficiently.
Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues in a live production environment.
Partner with production and maintenance teams to improve reliability and performance.
Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, and vendors.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship where needed.
Contribute to a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, power distribution, or machine design.
Strong experience with electrical schematics and panel design, machine electrical systems, power distribution systems, and hands-on troubleshooting capability in operational environments.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and industrial safety standards.
Preferred: PLC/HMI/controls experience, exposure to automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
