Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for defense industry purposes in the subsea domain.
• Develops and tests submersible vehicles ranging from remotely operated (ROVs) to autonomously controlled (AUVs) to manned submersibles.
• Supports the design, production, and test through the life cycle of various undersea vehicles and systems.
• Performs research, design, development, and testing of complex electrical designs, including electrical analysis, hands-on testing and troubleshooting.
• Documents the electrical design formally.
• Provides broad electrical support, resolving issues related to distributed I/O architectures, RF systems, remote test station equipment, power distribution systems, and fiber optic interconnects.
• Collaborates across disciplines during integration and test activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on subsea technology.
• Experience with submersible vehicle design and testing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, fiber optic interconnects, and RF systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficiency in electrical analysis tools and testing equipment.
