Responsibilities

  • Aid in designing and testing MIL-STD power and data cabling solutions using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom components.
  • Contribute to the development of electrical system architecture, power budgets, grounding, and electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electro-optical engineers to integrate electrical solutions into compact designs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and system-level issues under guidance.
  • Document designs, test results, and quality assessments for cables and devices.
  • Adhere to safe electrical practices and contribute to team problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance.

  • Ability to perform basic electrical circuit calculations.
  • Experience with tools such as Altium Designer for PCB or harness design.
  • Knowledge of MS Office 365.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Internship or project experience in PCB design or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with aerospace/military connectors and cable design practices (IPC/MIL-STD).
  • Familiarity with programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Understanding of compliance standards (UL, CE, IEC, RoHS).
  • Exposure to fiber optic cable design for data transmission.

Pay

$100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience.
