Responsibilities
- Field work to document as-built conditions and damage to electrical systems and equipment.
- Establish repair scope recommendations and cause and origin analyses based on building codes and construction practices.
- Evaluate design drawings and documentation.
- Provide electrical support for fire origin and cause consultants/engineers.
- Communicate with clients, code officials, and contractors to address construction issues.
- Develop and manage multiple project assignments on time and within budget.
- Retain and develop client relationships.
- Travel as needed for short notice assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in California through NCEES examination.
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of national building and construction codes, principles, and practices.
- Experience with multiple types of construction and electrical equipment designs and installations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in providing litigation support, including expert testimony.
- Existing client base and business development experience.
Education
A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
Compensation
$100k – $170k MKA offers a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and benefits package including a generous 401K match, ESOP participation, medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and have a good driving record.
