Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis for electrical equipment and/or mechanical equipment and processes.
• Document as-built conditions and damage to electrical systems and equipment resulting from natural and/or human-induced events.
• Evaluate design drawings and documentation to establish repair scope recommendations and cause and origin analyses.
• Provide electrical support for fire origin and cause consultants/engineers to determine electrical causes of fires.
• Communicate with clients, interface with code officials, and contractors to address construction issues and provide detailed reports.
• Manage multiple project assignments, executing them on time and within budget.
• Retain and develop client relationships.
• Travel as needed, on short notice, to support projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• California Licensed Professional Engineer through NCEES examination.
• Minimum 10 years Electrical Engineering experience in design or related fields.
• Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, NEC, NFPA, etc.).
• Knowledge and experience of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
• Field experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in providing Litigation Support including Expert Testimony at Depositions and/or Trial, Mediation, and Arbitration proceedings.
• Existing Client base and business development experience is a strong plus.
