Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis for electrical equipment and/or mechanical equipment and processes.
- Document as-built conditions and damage to electrical systems and equipment resulting from natural and/or human-induced events.
- Evaluate design drawings and documentation to establish repair scope recommendations and cause and origin analyses.
- Provide electrical support for fire origin and cause consultants/engineers to determine electrical causes of fires.
- Communicate with clients, interface with code officials, and contractors to address construction issues and provide detailed reports.
- Manage multiple project assignments, executing them on time and within budget.
- Retain and develop client relationships.
- Travel as needed, on short notice, to support projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- California Licensed Professional Engineer through NCEES examination.
- Minimum 10 years Electrical Engineering experience in design or related fields.
- Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, NEC, NFPA, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
- Field experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in providing Litigation Support including Expert Testimony at Depositions and/or Trial, Mediation, and Arbitration proceedings.
- Existing Client base and business development experience is a strong plus.
