Electrical Engineer
Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer will support end-to-end electrical engineering activities for Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant projects. This includes design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems. The position offers hands-on experience with industrial electrical equipment and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations and preventive/corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, including HT/LT motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, control panels, and auxiliary systems.
- Perform routine inspections, motor testing, switchgear servicing, wiring verification, grounding (earthing) checks, and insulation/resistance measurements.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical, control, and automation systems (PLCs, relays, drives, control panels).
- Collaborate with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
- Maintain technical documentation such as maintenance logs, testing records, and safety/compliance reports.
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), grounding protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Gain exposure to power distribution systems, LV/MV/HV networks, switchyards, transformer operations, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in continuous learning to develop strong domain expertise in industrial electrical engineering.
Skills and Qualifications
- Candidates with up to 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, industrial systems, or related engineering roles will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, motors, drives, transformers, and control systems.
- Familiarity with switchgear, PLCs, automation/control systems, and electrical circuit design.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety practices, including LOTO, grounding, and insulation testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in heavy industrial environments.
Education
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Salary Range
$75,000 - $123,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
