About The Opportunity

An innovative, venture-backed technology company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to help develop next-generation sensing and imaging systems that are redefining public safety. This is a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware that combines advanced electronics, embedded systems, AI, and high-performance imaging technology. If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, taking ownership of products from prototype through deployment, and working alongside a highly collaborative team, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while accelerating your career. This is a hands-on engineering position where your ideas matter, your decisions move products forward, and you'll have the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own board bring-up, hardware validation, debugging, and system integration for mixed-signal PCB designs.
  • Perform electrical testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
  • Troubleshoot analog, digital, RF, and power-related hardware issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with FPGA, embedded firmware, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to integrate complete hardware platforms.
  • Support prototype builds, hardware verification, and product validation.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis of hardware failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Review schematics, layouts, and PCB designs while providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop test procedures and documentation for manufacturing and engineering validation.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute technical solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Support product transition from prototype into manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3 to 7 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with mixed-signal electronics.
  • Experience bringing up and debugging custom PCB designs.
  • Proficiency using common electrical laboratory equipment.
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware at both the board and system level.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced hardware development environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Preferred:
  • Experience with FPGA-based systems.
  • Experience working with embedded hardware and firmware teams.
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Experience with RF, imaging, sensor, or signal processing systems.
  • Experience supporting products from prototype through production.
  • Startup experience is highly preferred.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique

  • Work on breakthrough hardware and advanced sensing technology.
  • Own meaningful engineering decisions with significant technical responsibility.
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled cross-functional engineering team.
  • Fast-paced startup environment with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Opportunity to work across hardware, embedded systems, AI, firmware, and mechanical engineering.
  • Direct impact on products deployed in real-world environments.
  • Excellent opportunity for technical growth and career advancement.
