Job Details Job Title: Manufacturing /Electrical Engineer Location: Houston, TX (On-Site) Position Type: Contract / Temporary Pay Rate: $48.08 / hour Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM About The Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will take ownership of manufacturing processes and standards, driving operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, resolve complex production and quality challenges, and optimize workflow to maximize yield and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Process Optimization: Implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing excellence, focusing on process yield (First Pass Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield), cycle time reduction, and overall productivity. Lean & Six Sigma Implementation: Drive the execution of Lean principles, including standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout and routing optimization, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen/5S workouts. Problem Solving & Quality: Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for manufacturing quality issues, troubleshooting production yield constraints. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability to Engineering (utilizing Engineering Change Requests/ECRs) and review/sign off on relevant Engineering Change Orders. Standardization & Training: Develop, maintain, and enforce manufacturing standards, and train shop floor personnel to ensure consistency and compliance. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 3 to 5 years of electronic manufacturing experience (Printed Circuit Board Assembly / PCBA experience is preferred). Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's in Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering is a plus). Technical Skills:Proficiency in SAP and basic electronics knowledge. Strong foundation in Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma tools. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Familiarity with Printed Wired Assembly (PWA) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes is a strong advantage.
