Job Role
The Electrical Engineer will design and implement electrical controls and power systems for industrial refrigeration projects. The role supports cross-functional project execution and ensures compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
Key Duties
- Develop and design electrical controls and power systems
- Produce preliminary and final design drawings and documentation using CAD programs
- Complete required electrical design calculations
- Design lighting systems for industrial warehousing
- Generate controls bill of materials and take-offs
- Assist with purchasing of related materials
- Ensure designs adhere to company procedures, regulations, and client standards
- Submit design documentation to management and construction teams
- Provide support during installation to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Build Bills of Materials (BOM) and enter data into the ERP system
- Consult with fabrication teams and provide physical assistance when necessary
- Cook with the purchasing team on material orders
- Communicate with vendors on part specifications and fabrication
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical system design
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD or other CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
Preferences
- EIT License
- Interest in pursuing a PE license
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems or previous MEP experience
