Responsibilities
- Design and document electrical systems tailored to customer requirements.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with HPES manufacturing teams.
- Create structured electrical designs, especially for high voltage and RF systems.
- Develop procedures for design, testing, documentation, and configuration control.
- Program or support programming LINAC control software or test equipment using LabVIEW or other software.
- Support installation, startup, servicing, and modification of systems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using sound engineering principles.
- Develop and modify control system software and hardware specifications.
- Interface with internal teams and external customers to enhance product features.
- Ensure quality and performance standards through rigorous testing and reviews.
- Collaborate with other teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Service to improve integration and reliability.
- Provide technical support with RF tuning, potentially training others.
- Estimate time and resources for project tasks.
- Review the existing circuitry and make proper revisions or corrections, if required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years in analog/digital circuit design, power supply, vacuum controls, and EMI/EMP troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Altium experience is preferred.
- SPICE tools experience is desirable.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in office and lab environments.
- Experience at accelerator facilities, especially within HPES, is a plus.
