About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the electrical design team on large institutional and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, and providing technical support across various project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Manage workload to ensure timely completion of the document
  • Visit the project site during work sessions with the Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Inspect and review electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines
  • Write and edit electrical specifications and select appropriate equipment, systems, and devices
  • Collaborate with and assist other disciplines with addendums, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders
  • Assist with construction contract administration
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators, or Technicians

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED (though not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is full-time and requires a standard 40-hour work week.
