Electrical Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services Group. You will be responsible for coordinating the electrical design team on large institutional and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with codes, and providing oversight during the construction phase.
Responsibilities
- Cook up meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Coordinate workload to ensure the document is completed on time
- Attend work sessions at the project site in collaboration with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Inspect electrical documents for conflicts with all disciplines
- Write and edit electrical specifications and choose equipment, electrical systems, and devices
- Collaborate with and assist other disciplines with addendums, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and ensure these changes are incorporated into the project documents
- Assist with construction contract administration
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators, or Technicians
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED (though not required)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a standard workweek.
