About the role
Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and system engineering tasks to include researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks in a military environment.
- Develops designs for electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic use.
- Performs trade studies, design and technology assessments for emerging technologies.
- Analyze, define and design mainly COTS equipment for new or existing systems or subsystems.
- Additional responsibilities include drawing creation, troubleshooting issues, test planning; test development; and test execution.
- Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules.
- Position spans the technology development life cycle, including requirements generation, system design and implementation, hardware procurement, integration, test, and installation across lab facilities and at-sea platforms.
Requirements
- Experience with requirements derivation and capture.
- Experience with complex systems development and evaluation.
- Experience with interface requirements and component level requirements.
- Experience implementing and customizing common commercial and open-source products.
- Strong communication skills to explain design issues and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience and one to five years’ professional experience.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.
Skills
- Experience with requirements derivation and capture.
- Experience with complex systems development and evaluation.
- Experience with interface requirements and component level requirements.
- Experience implementing and customizing common commercial and open-source products.
- Strong communication skills to explain design issues and solutions.

Pay
$95,000 - $140,000
