Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, grounding, low-voltage systems, emergency power, and electrical infrastructure.
- Develop Revit-based construction documents, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, lighting layouts, specifications, and technical reports.
- Conduct electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash, energy code compliance, and protective device coordination.
- Apply NEC, NFPA, and other industry standards for compliant system design.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and client reviews.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support QA/QC reviews, RFIs, site visits, and construction administration tasks.
- Lead project scopes and mentor junior staff (mid- and senior-level responsibilities).
Qualifications
- Mid-Level: Bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical Engineering. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed; pursuing Professional Engineer (PE); 5+ years of experience.
- Senior: Bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical Engineering. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; 10+ years of experience leading electrical design.
- Proficiency with Revit and electrical analysis software.
- Strong interdisciplinary coordination skills.
- Experience in aviation, civic, commercial, tribal, mission-critical, or federal work is valued.
