Electrical Engineer

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy: Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer-aided design AutoCAD MEP & Revit software to develop electrical engineering drawings which may include 3-D and design permit/construction sets.
• Create electrical project specifications.
• Operate computer-aided engineering software (SKM Power Tools, AmpCalc, CYMCAP, Polywater, FC2 short circuit, and others) for short circuit, overcurrent protective device coordination, arc flash, underground cable ampacity, and cable pulling calculations.
• Create electrical engineering letters and reports.
• Utilize building codes and standards.
• Perform field investigation audits and site observation reports.
• Perform routine assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices.
• Provide problem-solving strategies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university/college.
• A minimum of 5 years of design engineering experience preferred.

Skills

• Thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to use architectural drafting tools.
• Position’s responsibilities can be learned through on-the-job training.
• General knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Requires a positive attitude and the ability to orally communicate with internal and external customers.
• Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a field environment.
• Construction management degree.
• Experience in the construction industry.
