About the role
Curt G. Joa, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sheboygan Falls, WI.
Responsibilities
- Provide services relating to the successful installation, start-up, and commissioning of converting equipment.
- Travel to customer locations as required.
- Perform product testing (powering up and check-out function) and troubleshooting to certify converting equipment for customer acceptance.
- Contribute to the design and layout of converting equipment electrical components and systems.
- Assess electrical component requirements and create Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Create and implement electric component control programs to ensure proper function of PLC, HMI, motion, and message display.
- Absorb and assist with coordination of assembly operations during equipment construction.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent academic and practical experience.
- Strong analytic skills to troubleshoot equipment/processes and implement solutions.
- Effective utilization of complex software for design, problem solving, and documentation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Collaborative ability among a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work a full day on a computer.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to twenty-five pounds in weight.
- Ability to use hand tools and monitoring/testing equipment.
- Occasional climbing of a ladder and maneuvering into tight spaces.
- Ability to work in an environment that is loud and without air conditioning during machine commissioning and/or problem-solving.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, ear protection).
- Up to 20% international and domestic travel may be required.
Qualifications
