Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a driven, goal-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator who can interact well with clients, contractors, vendors, and other design staff. They should be self-motivated and enjoy working on unique design challenges in an ever-changing industry utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• Able to ask questions to clarify expectations and lead small design projects or portions of large projects
• Experience in analyzing power systems using software packages such as SKM or EasyPower for arc flash and power system analysis
• Ability to travel to client sites to obtain field measurements, evaluate equipment for reuse, and support new equipment start-up
• Proficiency in developing construction drawing sets utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Desire to learn and implement BIM protocols to stay on the leading edge of technology
• Experience collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to generate seamlessly coordinated projects
• Understanding of the National Electric Code and industry standards for power distribution, particularly in large heavy industrial and pulp and paper industries

What You Will Need to Do

• Travel to client sites to obtain field measurements, evaluate equipment for reuse, and support new equipment start-up
• Lead small design projects or portions of large projects
• Assist in the development of construction drawing sets utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks as part of our team on a wide range of industrial projects
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to generate seamlessly coordinated projects
• Develop an understanding of the National Electric Code and industry standards for power distribution
