About the role
We are seeking a motivated and talented Electrical Engineer to design and coordinate building electrical systems while developing high-quality construction documents. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for collaboration, innovation, and delivering practical, reliable, and code-compliant solutions. Responsibilities
- Designs electrical systems for healthcare, commercial, municipal, and office buildings with backup and emergency power systems, including generators, uninterruptable power supplies, and automatic transfer switches.
- Designs and directs designers in the creation of building designs.
- Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to specifications and requirements.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
- Designs the modeling and analysis of normal and emergency power distribution systems, the design of life safety systems, the design and modeling of lighting and associated control systems, and coordination with other design professionals.
- Designs lighting control systems that comply with LEED, Energy Star, and similar energy-efficient programs.
- Makes equipment and fixture selections.
- Performs field investigations and site visits.
- Serves as Engineer of Record with directing and mentoring designers.
- Develops construction documents and specifications.
- Follows the NFPA70 (NEC) and other electrical industry codes, standards, and recommended practices.
Requirements
- Healthcare experience is required.
- Minimum 8 years’ related experience as a licensed professional.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Current PE License (required).
- NCEES Registration.
- Licensed in at least one U.S. state.
- LEED, Green Globes, or other sustainability credentials (preferred).
- U.S. citizenship is required, and background checks will be performed.

Pay
Salary Range: $110k – $160k
Schedule
- This position will be in the office in an open office work environment with flexibility.
- Travel: up to 20% depending on project.
