Electrical Engineer (38276)
Summary/Objective
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for partnering with other members of the Engineering team to use his/her knowledge and expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure the Company is leading-edge in the marketplace.
Specific Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Managing the manufacturing process for new electrical equipment, using design software to produce schematics, and overseeing installation processes.
Develops new products; works on how to improve existing products, and participates in the design and development of supplementary processes or equipment and in trouble shooting existing processes and equipment.
Asees/Tests and maintains electrical equipment; constructs complex electrical and electronic appliances from wiring diagrams.
Possesses a programming capability in PLC or equivalent software for machine control and communication among machine, HMI, and other components.
Works with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations with regards to equipment installations and/or other facility processes; ensures projects meet legal requirements, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
Maintains an awareness of external product and process technology, including those of competitors, through external networks (i.e., academia, suppliers, customers, research institutes, etc.), literature study, technical meetings, and conferences; incorporates this information into the development of new products.
Evaluates capability of current manufacturing technologies, equipment, processes, and practices. Identifies areas of opportunity to ensure the Company remains competitive within the marketplace.
Supports any efforts to maintain high-quality standards as defined by BRC and other plant-wide initiatives to help the parent-company, local company, and the department.

Education And Experience
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
