About the role
The Electrical Engineer 3 is responsible for sustaining technically sound and marketable products using imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large global organization with strong cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing. You will visit local suppliers, support Electronics Manufacturing & Test, and be responsible for new product electronic design and the lifecycle of multiple platforms in a sustaining and continuous improvement environment.
- Has latitude in technical decisions and approaches, but seeks specialist guidance for complex issues
- Demonstrates domain knowledge with a high-level understanding of design processes and procedures, with the ability to train others
- Applies knowledge and experience to develop, enhance designs, processes, and tools
- Creates a strong network with other senior professionals internally and externally
- Advanced oral and written communication skills; prepares clear, technically accurate, and documented design explanations
- Communicates in a positive, calm, and professional manner, understanding commercially sensitive information
- Understands and applies DO-160 EMC requirements in design, testing, and resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (required) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and a minimum of 8 years’ experience
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Test, PCB Layouts, and IPC Standards
- Extensive Circuit Analysis, Testing, and Troubleshooting experience
- Experience working across functions within the organization
- Experience in a multi-cultural/diverse organization (preferred)
- Willingness to challenge the status quo (preferred)
- Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in electronics
Skills
- Proficiency with software applications such as Altium, Jira, DOORS, Matlab, LABVIEW, LTSpice, pSPICE (a plus)
