Responsibilities
- Develops models and drawings including conceptual designs, parametric modeling and new technologies using software.
- Utilizes programming to automatically generate Bill of Materials and electrical schematics.
- Reviews schematics for designs and makes design recommendations.
- Collaborates with other designers and engineers to ensure that the electrical systems integrate seamlessly with other systems.
- Collaborates with engineers, management, and other creative departments to determine design solutions.
- Supports production team during prototypes and production launch to facilitate seamless releases.
- Facilitates communication with manufacturing teams on issues related to design and production.
- Seeks ways to implement new ideas and technologies.
- Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies.
Requirements
- A two-year technical degree is preferred, along with 3-5 years’ experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
- Eplan ECE certification, but not required.
