Responsibilities
- Assist Electrical Engineer and/or Electrical Design Team in designing, implementing, and drafting construction documents for clients' building programs, including lighting and power design.
- Utilize education and experience to independently tackle minor challenges on projects, with support from the Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Team lead.
- Apply NEC and other national code information for construction documents under the guidance of the Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Team lead.
- Begin to learn fault current calculations and draw 1-Line diagrams for simple projects.
- Develop skills in AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
- Build a strong understanding of NEC and other relevant national codes.
- Travel to projects as needed (based on client requirements).
- Collaborate with Architects and other Engineers to develop construction documents according to clients' requirements.
- Perform quality control of your own work before submitting to the Electrical Engineer for final review.
- Depending on client and team needs, interact directly with clients on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- No management requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience required.
- No licensure required.
