Electrical Designer
About the role
The Electrical Designer/Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Our Electrical Designers focus primarily on the design of building related projects, including apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, hospital and educational facilities using Revit and AutoCAD software.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Understand and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment.
- Edit electrical system specifications.
- Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components.
- Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents.
- Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress.
- Interact with project team members and leaders.
Requirements
- Have an Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar).
- Have 3-5 years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
- Have design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
- Have hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
