We design and build made-to-order processing equipment for the web converting industry — think coating, laminating, and embossing systems used across automotive, medical, packaging, and battery sectors. Based in Paterson, NJ with a global footprint spanning 20+ countries.

Qualifications

  • Design and develop complex electrical systems and processes, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed electrical designs and schematics.
  • Develop and maintain PLC I/O diagrams, panel layouts, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Manage power distribution and AC/Servo drives.
  • Ensure designs comply with UL 508, UL 698A, NEC, NFPA79, and SCCR standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to create the best possible electrical solutions.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests of electrical systems and components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Continually stay updated with the latest advancements and technologies in the electrical engineering field to incorporate into designs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that all project deliverables are met within the set timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design, particularly within the Engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Extensive knowledge of UL 508, UL 698A, NEC, NFPA79, and SCCR standards.
  • Experience with PLC I/O diagrams, panel layouts, pneumatic schematics, power distribution, and AC/Servo drives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong drive for continuous learning and development.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
