Electrical Designer
About the role
The Electrical Designer position at FlightSafety International is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and documenting the electrical aspects necessary to support the design, manufacturing, and service of Frasca products. This role supports both new product development and modifications to existing products.
Responsibilities
- Master and continue to perform essential functions of associate electrical designer role.
- Read and interpret aircraft manuals to determine system functionality.
- Locate part substitutes as needed.
- Review technical and contractual documentation to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Troubleshoot designs and determine the best approach to solve design or manufacturing-related problems.
- Support manufacturing in all aspects including answering questions or assembling equipment.
- Create room requirements drawings and proposals.
- Communicate and coordinate with other engineering departments.
- Communicate with vendors and determine sources of purchased components.
- Provide support for Marketing and Project Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associate’s degree from college/tech school (2 yr)
- Minimum Experience: 1-5 years

- Computer
- MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
- E3, Solidworks, Altium
- General office equipment
- Soldering iron
- Multimeter, clamp meter, oscilloscope
- Crimping tools
- Hand tools
- Power tools
- PPE includes safety glasses
