Job Title: Electrical Designer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer responsible for drafting, designing, and checking electrical systems. This role involves managing bills of materials (BOMs), handling change management, specifying parts, maintaining drawing revision records, and controlling documents. The successful candidate will gather information from various sources such as other disciplines, vendors, engineers, reference drawings, and catalogs to produce complete, functional, accurate, and constructible design packages. Additionally, you will develop template drawings and standards to assist in day-to-day activities. Responsibilities Draft, design, and check electrical systems.Manage bills of materials (BOMs) and handle change management.Specify parts and maintain drawing revision records.Create and reuse standard designs and control documents.Gather information from multiple sources including other disciplines, vendors, engineers, reference drawings, and catalogs.Produce complete, functional, accurate, and constructible design packages.Develop template drawings and standards for daily activities.Design communication systems using fiber optic cables, Ethernet, AC and DC interconnects, and develop conduit and cable schedules. Essential Skills 5+ years of CADWorx experience.Proficiency in electrical engineering and design.Competence in AutoCAD and schematic design.Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.Understanding of instrument locations, control room layout, analyzer, loading building layout and design.Ability to create one-line diagrams, cable sizing for instrumentation and low voltage wiring, cable tray layout and sizing.Experience with 24VDC schematics for power, control, and shutdown circuits.Proficiency in 120VAC schematics for power and control, PLC panel, junction box, and control layout and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic knowledge of electricity.Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70), National Electric Safety Code (NFPA 70E), NEMA standards, and some IEC symbology.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Bluebeam AutoCAD, and Adept.Strong communication and leadership skills. Work Environment This position is based in an office environment. The role does not require personal protective equipment, medical certifications, or specific certifications. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
