Electrical Design Engineer - Mid, Senior & Principal

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and coordinate across engineering teams to drive successful project execution.
- Develop design studies, prepare engineering calculations and analysis, attend project meetings, conduct field walkdowns, and mentor junior engineers.
- Act as a bridge between engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines.
- Shape project success by developing innovative design studies, defining project scopes, and creating accurate engineering estimates.
- Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select solutions to meet project needs.
- Perform precision electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installations.
- Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges.
- Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and compliance.
- Foster a positive, goal-oriented environment with motivational leadership to empower teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls).
- Experience in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
- Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and effectively in teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Pay
Compensation range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
