Electrical Design Engineer - ECU and Smart Security

About the role

Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on Functional ECUs and Smart Security. The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for Functional ECUs and Smart Security. Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, you will contribute to building a North American electronics center of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle application of Functional ECUs (power slide door ECU, power tailgate ECU, Seat ECU, Window ECU, Sunroof ECU, etc.) and Smart Security (Smart ECU, Immobilizer, antennas, etc.)
• Plan structure and design of Functional ECUs and Smart Security through target setting, packaging, and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs, and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance, and quality
• Manage part lists and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications
